Julie Zammarchi has been creating animation for most of her adult life. Her award winning independent films have been screened competitively in many festivals worldwide including, Ottawa Animation Festival, Hiroshima International Animation Festival, Atlanta Film/Video Festival, Zagreb World Festival of Animation. Her films have been presented in curated shows such as the Black Maria Film Festival, The Collective for Living Cinema in New York and the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston.
She has directed and animated films for television, both commercials and shows. Client list includes HBO, Sesame Workshop, Nickelodeon, among others. In addition, Zammarchi has teamed with producers to create animation for live action documentaries and museum environments.

She has taught animation at the university level with appointments at RISD, Harvard University, Emerson College, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.
